Nine Months

It's the day after New Years!
You took your first vacation to New York City with  Mommy and Daddy.
You had your 9 month wellness checkup where you had your blood drawn and got a shot, you were such a trooper!
You were 50% in height,  50% in weight, and 50% in head circumference. The Doc said that 50% across the board were unusual.
You eat chunkier food now!
You can you the pincher grasp to grab little cheerios, little pieces of fruit, etc, to feed yourself!
For Christmas, you got a play kitchen and accessories from Mom and Dad, a warm Columbia hat from Grandma and Grandpa (W), Lego Duplo set from Gomo, and a Xylophone and stuffed animal from Uncle Jake!
You love to rip paper and pull yourself up so that you can stand, and sometimes you even let go for a couple of seconds and just stand there on your own. You can now go from standing position, back down.
You are an expert crawler. You can say 'bye bye' with your hands, and dance to the music!
You usually drink out of a tiny cup (soju cup), or drink with a straw!
You can go underwater for about 2 seconds!

You went with Mommy and Grandma (W) to D.C. to go to the Smithsonian Museum of American History to see the Wonderplace exhibit~!

First time on the metro!

The Wegmans Wonderplace photographers were such a big fan of your cuteness, they followed us around for a bit and took pictures of you doing different things in the exhibit! You might come out in the Wegmans magazine or a 'thank you' brochure to the Smithsonian. (Wegmans sponsored the exhibit).

Your first swing ride at South Run Rec!

Yeji Love

Yeji.. I love you so much, my heart bursts. I can't stop smiling when I think about you. I think about your smile.
You started crawling really fast over the past two weeks. You are now an expert at going from crawling position to sitting position, and back again.
You are slowly eating more and more solid food. Today you tried some mashed potato and pieces of ham. And at lunch, you had pieces of jjajangmyun.
You are getting so good at drinking water from bottles, little cups, and your sippy cups.
You go into the infant day care room at church.

We just lowered your crib because you started standing with the support of furniture.

Yesterday, we did a color edible play doh activity, and played with tofu on the abnormally warm November day with your friend Ethan. We did a test run the day before with the tofu, and you cried because you didn't want to get dirty, or didn't like the texture.

You also cried when I tried to blow bubbles on you. When I tried to blow bubbles on you the next day, you cried again.
I think your personality is very careful.

You are sleeping now.. miss you.

October and most of November- 7 and 8 months.

You are almost 8 months! I can't believe it! You are growing so fast.
Grandma (W) says you are changing every day.
I forgot the October post. It's been crazy being a mom and working.

In the 7th month, you moved to being entirely formula fed because Mommy was no longer producing enough milk for you.
You started scooting around on your belly, which looked like an army crawl.
During the 8th month, you got pretty good at crawling and moving from belly position to sitting position and back. We had to put the baby gate up in the living room, and bought another play mat for you in the kitchen. You also started standing up with the support of your arms on your standing up toy, or on the chair!

You also went trick-or-treating for the first time in your shrimp sushi costume-- Mommy was soy sauce. Daddy was a chef. We went to Daddy's school's fall festival too. Everyone commented that you had the cutest costume!

You are eating a lot more solid food. Mommy can't use the tiny tupperware anymore, she has to move to the bigger tupperware of holding your food. YOU LOVE FOOD. Only when food comes out, you turn into hulk and make grunting noises so that we would feed you faster.

At 6 months, you had started your second baby swim class. You can now go underwater for about 2 seconds!

You also started babbling more-- you say bbabbabbabba and mamammamama

You are so good at playing by yourself! You also started going into Sunday school daycare. You don't cry and play so well!

We had brunch at Uncle Dan and Joanne Eemo's house-- you chased the little robot.

September- 6 months

This month, Mommy realized she did not take nearly as many photos as she usually does because things have so busy with her going back to work, doing chores, and spending as much time face to face with you! It's been tough, because Mommy and Daddy don't get to spend nearly as much time with you as we would like. Mommy and Daddy also both started going to small group this month, and you stay home (sleeping) with Grandpa.  Right now, you are awake, playing in your crib at 5:00 in the morning. Mommy is trying to type this entry up before she goes in and gets you.

This month you..
-became an expert at flipping on both sides. One time, mommy left you in the middle of the bed for a minute, and when she walked away.. you rolled off the bed and were crying. We were so worried!
-began taking daily baths to help you go to bed. You love baths, and practicing grabbing onto all your bath foam letters and numbers, and cups.
-Starting supplementing with formula and became an expert at drinking out of bottles.
-Can sit up by yourself for up to about a minute with spotting!
-You are an expert at reaching and grabbing things now. You spilled over Grandma's smoothie by raising yourself up out of your Bumbo seat and grabbing the cup.
-You can pull yourself up by your hands and lift your body up when doing tummy time.
-Your legs are super strong and you can stand up with mommy's help.
-You have been chewing on soft things like beans. You also tried chicken, peas, apples, peaches, carrots, rice.
-We need you to sleep more!
-You are babbling a lot now!
-You try to push the buttons on your music book! You are learning cause and effect.

You will be Daddy's little helper!

Mommy, Daddy and Yeji went on a date to Mommy's favorite restaurant-- Sushi Yoshi You did such a good job at this tiny restaurant! You also got to eat too. :)

Modeling your new kicks that Daddy made for you out of cardboard to kick off the new Redskins season! Too bad RG3 is no longer starter quarterback :(

The day we went to meet Makayla, Lisa Eemo, and John Samchoon for John Samchoon's birthday! You are so small compared to all other babies!

Showing off your shoes that Jake Samchoon for for you! They are so warm and fuzzy.

Smiling on a rainy day with your happy, yellow raincoat.

Family pic on Game day!

We went to go visit Grandma and eat fried Chicken! You always stare intently with a non expression at new people, or people you haven't seen in awhile.

You love watching Daddy play guitar!

Every Saturday you go swimming with Mommy at Onelife gym. You will start official swim lessons at SwimKids again today!

You tried swim lessons at South Run, but you and Mommy were way too advanced for the class!

Smiling after showing off your skills in class! We dropped the class because you were too advanced. Even the swim instructor kept saying "look at this baby and her Mommy, copy her. "

You love your teddy bear outfit from Halmunee (M)! Your favorite song is gong sae mal ee (three bears).

The weather is getting warmer, and we are having to bundle you up!
